Problem Note 32895: Using SAS/CONNECT® software to sign on from a SAS® 9.1.3 client to a SAS® 9.2 Linux server might cause a sign-on failure
A sign-on failure might occur when you use SAS/CONNECT software to sign on
from a SAS 9.1.3 client to a SAS 9.2 Linux server. This failure appears to be a
result of a problem in the Linux operating system. Linux appears to return an
Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPV6) address, even though IPV6 is not configured
on the machine.
The following error message might be generated with the failed sign-on
attempt:
ERROR: A communication subsystem environment initialization request
failure has occurred.
ERROR: The specified Address Family is not supported.
To work around the problem, you need to replace one existing Linux module.
Rename the current tkitcp.so module and then download the new module, which
are in the following location:
For 32 bit: ftp://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/connect/92linux32.zip
For 64 bit: ftp://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/connect/92linux64.zip
